Without the slightest interest, it's hard to walk into a record store. I mean, if you walked into a candy store, but were alergic to candy, it'd be hard to walk in. But this; this was Flo Greenwood's absolute life. With an interest, it becomes an obsession. He came for a new challenge. A new guitar solo to learn. He'd find an old, unheard of band on a record, play it, learn it, viola. Hands jammed into the pockets of his black skinny jeans, the boy tossed his chocolate brown hair from his hazel eyes. He was growing excited; Virgin was his favorite music store. They always had the oldies for him; just waiting under the dust.
He pushed the door open with the toe of his neon-colored converse, the bell that greeted his ears rung for a long second before he smiled at the young female working at the counter. She was cute; blond hair with pink and blue streaks. But a bit too punk. He'd charm her on the way out. It wasn't a decision; just a reaction. Some boys are just like that, right?
Walking strait to the back, Flo fingered through old records that had been collecting dust. All the kids got the new cds and downloads; Flo couldn't keep himself from the back of the store. Vintage caught his eye rather easily, and you could tell by what he was wearing. A faded yellow t, with a black and white print of Elvis Presley. It was probably found in his uncle's old stash of t-shirts. He adored Elvis. Studded bangles hung from his wrist, one spray-painted a flourescent pink, the other a leathery black. A key hung from his neck, along with a silver guitar pick. He was vintage alright.
While fingering through the records, he found one he adored. A Jackson 5 recording; still on record. He grinned. His mother used to listen to Jackson 5, and he was forced to listen to it in the car and such. He'd learned to love the music, though it was way off topic of his usual taste in music-wear. He was the guitar and drums kid, the rocker, I s'pose. He blew the dust off the perfectly good record, thinking about how much fun he'd have dancing around the living room in his socks.

She stumbled into the old room at the back of the store, shuffling her feet. Pink Converse, ripped jeans, tight blue t-shirt and braids, the girl's glossy pink lips formed a perfect pout, brows crinkling in confusion. She turned her head to look toward the counter and the girl she'd been helping. The girl shrugged, making a shooing motion with her hand, gesturing for her to go on anyway. The girl's french manicured nails gripped the bottom of the cardboard box full of records, moving up behind the guy and setting it down at his feet. 'Uhh... there are some more down there, if you want to look.' She said. Her friend had a friend who worked here, and she wanted to help, so being the friend's friend who had a friend that worked here, she was conned into helping too... Go figure. Bright blue eyes moving over his, she blushed as she realized he was incredibly cute and she took a step back shyly, fingering the end of one braid. Eyes lighting on the record he held, the awkwardness instantly drifted away and she smiled. 'The Jackson 5? My Daddy used to listen to them.' She laughed, feeling homesick in a second. Her Dad and his stories... The ones he told all the time of when he was a young kid from the wrong side of the tracks, the guy who thought he had everything going for him... With an interesting choice in music, obviously. Secretly, she wanted to turn and run right then and there, not because she wouldn't mind standing there talking to the boy, because that would be fantastic, but simply because she thought she was too shy to handle the situation. 'I'm Amy... And you are?' She smiled instead. [/size]

Flo fell silent-- not that he was making any noise-- and pivoted on the toes of his scruffed converse to face her. He held the record to his chest, giving her the look of slight surprise-- eyebrows raised in interest and a small smirk upon his cheeks. Yeah, my parents loved them. I'm not really into them... just memories. He said casually, acting as though he couldn't tell she was shy enough. He loved playing with the shy girls, they were so cute and usually clumsy. He cocked his head cutely. Amy, hm? Cute name for a cute face, I s'pose. He chuckled. Name's Flo. He bowed, swiping his arm under him in an orderly fashion.
No one's back here much, are they? He asked, assuming she worked there. She looked a bit too casual to be working here-- but hey. The dude at the counter looked like he just woke up. He fiddled with the Jackson 5 recording, leaning against the wooden stand that held the boxes upon boxes of old dirty records. Flo fiddled with his navy vest buttons, which gleamed a shining gold on the drab fabric.
